LOUISA – Lawrence County High School graduate Noah West is headed into the 2020 college football season. Less than one year ago, West made his debut for the East Tennessee State University football program. West played in four games for East Tennessee State University during the 2019 college football season, retaining his redshirt status. West made his collegiate debut at Appalachian State University on August 31, 2019. He finished the season with one rush for 41 yards, taking a direct snap to the redzone against Mercer University on November 16, 2019. ETSU concluded the 2019 season 3-9 overall and 1-7 in the Southern Conference. West lettered as a quarterback at Lawrence County High School. The Louisa native totaled over 4,400 rushing yards and 66 career touchdowns. West rushed for over 2,200 yards and 32 touchdowns in 2018. He rushed for 396 yards, seven touchdowns and nine 2-point conversions in a single game, ranking fourth all-time in Kentucky high school history. West earned District and Area Player of the Year honors in 2018. He finished his prep career as the Kentucky Class 3A rushing leader. The Lawrence County standout was a three-time all-district selection. West and his teammates are scheduled to open preseason practice in the summer.
