MOREHEAD – With the release of the latest NCAA Academic Progress Rate information, five Morehead State University programs achieved perfect 1,000 scores in the latest data. The NCAA's multi-year APR is part of the overall Division I academic reform effort. The APR provides a real-time look at and full assessment of each team's academic performance by tracking the progress of every student-athlete on scholarship each semester.  It takes into account eligibility, retention and graduation. The report is the four-year cohort leading up to the 2018-19 year. MSU Men's Golf, Softball, Soccer, Volleyball and Rifle teams each compiled 1,000 scores. In addition, several teams improved their scores from the 2017-18 report. MSU Baseball, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball and Softball teams all upped their marks from the previous year's report. Schools and programs can be hit with penalties, including postseason bans, if they do not meet the NCAA threshold of a 930 score for the previous four-year report cohort. Morehead State has never incurred any postseason bans.
