A catfish tournament sponsored by Rebel River Outfitters in Louisa was held June 25-June 27. Danny Price of Paintsville was the winner with the most inches and the biggest fish. Twenty-five percent of the tournament proceeds went to help Trooper Island Kids Camp of Kentucky. Another tournament will be held in July, details to be released soon. The Lawrence County High School fishing duo of Nick Giompalo and Jake Lycans finished sixth at the Bass Federation World Championship at Lake Hartwell in South Carolina over the holiday weekend. The complete field for the tournament included 400 teams. The championship round of the tournament featured 30 boats on Saturday, July 3.
