PAINTSVILLE — Paintsville downed Perry County Central 13-2 in six innings at Charlie Adkins Field on Wednesday, April 2.

Dixon Kincheloe started on the mound for Paintsville and earned the win. Kincheloe pitched four innings and recorded seven strikeouts.

Following Kincheloe, Anderson Lauffer pitched the last two innings in relief for the Tigers. Lauffer posted five strikeouts.

Paintsville scored 13 runs on 11 hits. The Tigers’ offensive attack featured Lauffer (one hit), Alex Kimber (three hits, five RBIs), Shane Blair (two hits), Parker Crace (one hit, four RBIs), Brock Horne (one hit, two RBIs), Riley Jayne (one hit, one RBI), Brayden Davis (one hit) and Luke Stratton (one hit). Pushing Paintsville over the top for the win, Crace belted a grand slam in the bottom half of the sixth inning.

Paintsville 4, Shelby Valley 0: Paintsville shut out Shelby Valley 4-0 in Robinson Creek on Tuesday, April 1.

Luke Stratton and Anderson Lauffer combined to pitch a three-hit shutout for the Tigers. Stratton started on the mound for Paintsville, pitched five and one-third innings, recorded four strikeouts and earned the win. Following Stratton on the mound, Lauffer closed out the game, recorded two strikeouts and claimed the save.

Paintsville plated four runs on four hits. Stratton (two hits), Lauffer (one hit) and Alex Kimbler (one hit, two RBIs) each hit safely for the Tigers.
