Lawrence County fends off Padua Franciscan (Ohio)

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Continuing to win, Lawrence County defeated Padua Franciscan (Ohio) 7-4 on Wednesday, April 2.
Following the win, Lawrence County moved to 8-0.
Taylor Blevins pitched for Lawrence County and claimed the win in the circle. Blevins recorded nine strikeouts.
Lawrence County scored seven runs on 10 hits. Jada Patton (three hits, one RBI), Gracie Preece (two hits, two RBIs), Addalyn Woods (two hits, one RBI), Bree Jones (two hits, one RBI). Abby Maynard (one hit) and Lexi Crum (one RBI) were each successful at the plate in Lawrence County’s win. Providing an extra-base hit, Preece doubled for the Lady Bulldogs.

Aleaha Gillispie pitched one inning in relief for Lawrence County and earned the win in the circle.
