KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Lawrence County pulled away to defeat Fulton (Tenn.) 14-5 in six innings on Thursday, April 3.
Logan Whisenant started on the mound for Lawrence County and earned the win. Whisenant pitched five innings and recorded two strikeouts.
Contributing on the mound, Colin Howard pitched one inning in relief for the Bulldogs.
Lawrnce County scored 14 runs on 18 hits. Whisenant (one hit, one RBI), Howard (three hits, five RBIs), Gray Derifield (five hits, one RBI), Eli Fletcher (three hits, two RBIs), Brady Caudill (two hits, two RBIs), Cameron Perkins (two hits, one RBI) and Tyger Cavins (two hits, one RBI) comprised a balanced offensive attack for the Bulldogs. Howard homered twice while Fletcher belted one home run. Derifield led Lawrence County on the basepaths, tallying six steals.
