Tigers knock off Bulldogs 11-10

LOUISA — Visiting Paintsville knocked off Lawrence County 11-10 in a high-scoring high school baseball game on Monday, March 21.
The Tigers and Bulldogs, former 57th District rivals, swapped leads during the high school baseball matchup.
Baron Ratliff led Paintsville to the non-district win. Ratliff belted two home runs and doubled while driving in seven runs for the Tigers.
Zach Taylor earned the win on the mound for Paintsville. Helping his pitching cause at the plate, Taylor added a solo home run.
Luke Patton suffered the loss on the mound for the Bulldogs.
Nick Collinsworth delivered three hits and two RBIs to lead the Bulldogs at the plate.
Braydan Maynard provided two hits and scored three runs for reigning 58th District champion Lawrence County.
Blue Fletcher and Will Lafferty added two RBIs apiece for the Bulldogs.
Both Paintsville and Lawrence County entered the 2022 high school baseball season ranked among the state’s top 25 teams.
Lawrence County is scheduled to visit Paintsville for a regular season finale on Thursday, May 12.
