Riddle named KVCA Region 15 Coach of the Year

LEXINGTON — Shelby Valley head coach Misty Riddle has been named the KVCA Region 15 Coach of the Year.

Riddle guided Shelby Valley to the 59th District title. Under Riddle’s guidance, Shelby Valley reached the semifinals of the 15th Region Volleyball Tournament and compiled a 27-12 record.

The KVCA coach of the year and player of the year award winners will be honored at the 2024 KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament at George Rogers Clark High School during a ceremony in between the semifinal matches on Saturday, Nov. 9.

The coach of the year award winners for each of the state’s 16 regions follow.

KVCA Region 1 Coach of the Year: Chancie Coleman (McCracken County).

KVCA Region 2 Coach of the Year: Savanna Tays (Crittenden County).

KVCA Region 3 Coach of the Year: Zach Hardison (Ohio County).

KVCA Region 4 Coach of the Year: Keith Carver (Bowling Green).

KVCA Region 5 Coach of the Year: Billy Rineker (Central Hardin).

KVCA Region 6 Coach of the Year: Wally Adams (Bullitt East).

KVCA Region 7 Coach of the Year: Richard Weaver (DuPont Manual).

KVCA Region 8 Coach of the Year: Ryan Warner (Oldham County).

KVCA Region 9 Coach of the Year: Tasha Tanner-Lovins (Ryle).

KVCA Region 10 Coach of the Year: Andrea Sullivan (Scott).

KVCA Region 11 Coach of the Year: Nick Griffin (Frederick Douglass).

KVCA Region 12 Coach of the Year: Eric Kenoyer (Boyle County).

KVCA Region 13 Coach of the Year: Krystal Jones (Corbin).

KVCA Region 14 Coach of the Year: Brian Hubbard (Leslie County).

KVCA Region 15 Coach of the Year: Misty Riddle (Shelby Valley).
