Delong named KVCA Region 15 Player of the Year

PAINTSVILLE — Johnson Central senior Mayson Delong has been named the KVCA Region 15 Player of the Year.

Delong earned the honor from the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association (KVCA).

Delong led Johnson Central throughout the 2024 high school volleyball season.

The KVCA player of the year honorees from each of the state’s 16 regions follow.

KVCA Region 1 Player of the Year: Addison Hart (McCracken County).

KVCA Region 2 Player of the Year: Carly Porter (Crittenden County).

KVCA Region 3 Player of the Year: Kate Hoskins (Ohio County).

KVCA Region 4 Player of the Year: Amirra Bailey (Bowling Green).

KVCA Region 5 Player of the Year: Katelynn Vest (Central Hardin).

KVCA Region 6 Player of the Year: Trinity Ward (Holy Cross).

KVCA Region 7 Player of the Year: Aubrey Montgomery (DuPont Manual).

KVCA Region 8 Player of the Year: Shelby Davis (Oldham County).

KVCA Region 9 Player of the Year: Julia Grace (Notre Dame Academy).
