LOUISA — The Kentucky Prep Softball Preseason 15th Region Poll has been released.

Lawrence County is the reigning 15th Region softball champion and will be carrying momentum into the upcoming campaign.

Perennial title contender Johnson Central is ranked first in the Kentucky Prep Softball Preseason 15th Region Poll.

Following frontrunner Johnson Central in the Kentucky Prep Softball Preseason 15th Region Poll, reigning champion Lawrence County is ranked second.

Belfry, Pikeville, Floyd Central, Shelby Valley, Pike County Central, Magoffin County, Paintsville and East Ridge are ranked behind the top two teams in the Kentucky Prep Softball Preseason 15th Region Poll.

High school softball teams from across the 15th Region started preseason practice in mid-February. The 2026 high school softball season is scheduled to open on Monday, March 16.
