Paintsville remains first in Region 15 Top 5 Poll

PAINTSVILLE — After winning the All “A” Classic state championship, Paintsville remains ranked first in the Kentucky Volleyball Region 15 Top 5 Poll.
The second KVCA Region 15 Top 5 Poll of the 2022 season, released on Wednesday, Sept. 21, features teams from three different districts.
Reigning 15th Region champion Floyd Central (2), Betsy Layne (3), Johnson Central (4) and Shelby Valley (5) follow Paintsville in the KVCA Region 15 Top 5 Poll.
In addition to Paintsville, top-ranked teams from throughout the state include McCracken County (Region 1), Henderson County (Region 2), Cloverport (Region 3, tie), Whitesville Trinity (Region 3, tie), Bowling Green (Region 4), Central Hardin (Region 5, tie), Elizabethtown (Region 5, tie), Mercy Academy (Region 6), Assumption (Region 7), North Oldham (Region 8), Notre Dame (Region 9, tie), St. Henry (Region 9, tie), St. Patrick (Region 10), Paul Laurence Dunbar (Region 11), West Jessamine (Region 12), Whitley County (Region 13), Wolfe County (Region 14) and Boyd County (Region 16).
High school volleyball teams from throughout the 15th Region will enter the postseason in mid-October.
