Paintsville knocks off Magoffin County 3-1

SALYERSVILLE — Paintsville knocked off Magoffin County 3-1 in a 57th District softball game on Wednesday, April 27.
Laney Bledsoe earned the win in the circle for the Lady Tigers. Bledsoe pitched a complete game, allowing one run on four hits and one walk while registering 11 strikeouts.
Jaden Williams took the loss in the circle for the Lady Hornets. Williams allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while recording four strikeouts
Paintsville scored three hits on six hits. Molly Music and Maggie Music provided two hits apiece for the Lady Tigers. Both Molly Music and Maggie Music doubled.
Rylie Castle paced Magoffin County at the plate, collecting three hits in four at-bats. Castle doubled while Scarlett McCarty tripled for the Lady Hornets.

Laney Bledsoe took the loss in the circle for the Lady Tigers. Bledsoe allowed seven runs on nine hits and two walks while recording nine strikeouts over seven innings.
Magoffin County plated seven runs on nine hits. Williams, Jaylynn Lafferty, Katie Carty and Scarlett McCarty provided two hits apiece for the Lady Hornets. Manufacturing runs, Williams and Carty each collected three RBIs. Helping her pitching cause at the plate, Williams homered.
Providing a lift offensively for Paintsville, Mattie Ratliff doubled.
