EASTERN — Lawrence County leveled host Floyd Central 15-1 in five innings in a 58th District softball game on Thursday, April 28.

The Lady Bulldogs moved ahead early and pulled away to win convincingly.

Taylor Blevins earned the win in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs.

Kensley Feltner led Lawrence County at the plate, supplying three hits and four RBIs.

Gracie Preece delivered three hits and three RBIs for Lawrence County in the district win. Preece drilled two doubles.

Aiding Lawrence County’s offensive attack, Abby Nelson added three hits and two RBIs for the Lady Bulldogs.

Contributing at the plate for Lawrence County, Danielle Crum added two hits and two RBIs.

Both Crum and Blevins homered for Lawrence County in the district win.

Behind a no-hitter from pitcher Taylor Blevins, Lawrence County blanked visiting Prestonsburg 10-0 in five innings in a 58th District softball game on Monday, April 25.

Blevins claimed the win in the circle, allowing only one walk while recording 11 strikeouts.

Kensley Feltner and Ella Fitzpatrick combined to pace Lawrence County at the plate, providing two hits apiece while driving in two runs each.

Feltner homered for Lawrence County in the district victory.

Gracie Preece, another productive batter, doubled and delivered three RBIs for homestanding Lawrence County.

Andrew Mortimer
