Paintsville earns 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award

PAINTSVILLE — Paintsville has earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award.

The Lady Tigers also received the distinction of AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, representing the top 20 percent of GPAs nationally by division.

Paintsville earned the team academic award for the ninth consecutive season.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) honored Paintsville, which on the court is a perennial title contender.

The Lady Tigers, under the direction of Coach Dawn Kinner, excel in the classroom and on the court. Paintsville is the reigning 15th Region volleyball champion. Currently, Paintsville is preparing to compete in the 2026 high school volleyball season, which will open on Monday, Aug. 17.
