PRESTONSBURG — Johnson Central finished runner-up in the Nelson & Cathy Gullett Invitational at StoneCrest Golf Course on Monday, July 20.

The Golden Eagles hosted the tournament on the opening day of the boys’ high school golf season.

Johnson Central posted a team score of 300.

Max Bingham, who is among the top boys’ high school golfers in the 15th Region, paced the Golden Eagles. Bingham shot a 71 and placed fifth individually.

The additional competitors for Johnson Central were Kaiden Powers (76), Mason McKenzie (76), Cooper Blair (77) and Carter Stephens (80).
