Paintsville drops one-run game to Belfry in 10 innings

PAINTSVILLE – Visiting Belfry upended Paintsville 2-1 in 10 innings in a high school softball regular season finale on Thursday, May 27.
Belfry pitcher Molly Fahm picked up the win in the circle. Fahm pitched 10 innings, allowing one run on 10 hits and two walks while recording 12 strikeouts.
Chloe Hannah pitched the last four innings for Paintsville and took the loss in the circle. Hannah allowed one run on two hits and one walk while recording eight strikeouts.
Laney Bledsoe started the game in the circle for the Tigers. Bledsoe allowed one run on one hit and one walk while registering five strikeouts.
Belfry plated two runs on four hits.
Sydney Stafford, Kylee Phillips, Cameron Childers and Linzee Phillips provided one hit apiece for the Pirates. Phillips and Childers, who doubled, drove in one run each.
Paintsville plated one run on five hits.
Carrigan Ratliff led Paintsville at the plate, collecting two hits and driving in the Tigers' lone run.
Following Ratliff, Ashley Wells, Ameson Little and Chessa Collins added one hit apiece for Paintsville in the one-run loss.
