INEZ — Paintsville doubled up Martin County 10-5 in a 57th District softball game on Thursday, May 4.

Picking up the win in the circle for Paintsville, Laney Bledsoe limited Martin County batters throughout the district game. Bledsoe recorded six strikeouts.

Martin County pitcher Savannah Young suffered the loss in the circle. Young struck out one Paintsville batter.

Paintsville scored 10 runs on 14 hits. Bledsoe (one hit), Maggie Music (three hits, two RBIs), Ashley Wells (three hits, two RBIs), Chessa Collins (three doubles), Kaylyn Woods (two hits, one RBI), Grier Collins (one hit, one RBI), Molly Music (one hit, one RBI) and Destiny Trimble (one RBI) each contributed offensively for the Lady Tigers. Collins drilled three doubles for Paintsville in its win.

Brynnalyn Smith (two hits), Bella Muncy (two hits) and Hannah Stacy (two hits) each connected at the plate for Martin County during the district matchup.
