PAINTSVILLE — Paintsville defeated crosstown rival Johnson Central 3-1 in the 57th District Volleyball Tournament title match on Thursday, Oct. 24.

The Lady Tigers won 25-15, 25-21, 19-25, 25-21.

Julia Veronneau (2 digs), Sarah Ward (1 kill, 2 assists, 10 digs), Ella Wells (1 block, 1 dig), Bailee Porter (3 kills, 2 blocks, 40 assists, 2 digs), Jenna Ousley (1 kill, 4 assists, 18 digs), Kylie Kinner (19 kills, 4 blocks, 3 assists, 9 digs, 3 service aces), Mallory May (4 kills, 1 block, 2 digs), Olivia Maynard (20 kills, 4 assists, 12 digs) and Annabelle Blankenship (6 kills, 3 blocks, 1 assist, 2 digs) each excelled for Paintsville in its win.

Both Paintsville (22-11) and Johnson Central (25-6) advanced to the 15th Region Volleyball Tournament.
