Paintsville finished 1-2 in the All "A" Classic State Tournament in Owensboro on Saturday, April 29. Notching a win in the statewide tournament, Paintsville defeated Lynn Camp 3-1. SANDY HOOK — Paintsville defeated host Elliott County 13-6 on Tuesday, April 25.

Molly Music started in the circle for Paintsville and claimed the win. Music pitched five innings, allowing one earned run on three hits while recording six strikeouts.

Laney Bledsoe pitched the final two innings for Paintsville and notched the save. Bledsoe didn’t allow any earned runs and struck out two.

Claire Whitley started in the circle for Elliott County and took the loss. Whitley pitched five and one-third innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits while tallying four strikeouts.

Replacing Whitley in the circle for Elliott County, Skylar Copley pitched one and two-thirds innings in relief.

Paintsville scored 13 runs on 12 hits. Bledsoe (two hits, one RBI), Ashley Wells (three hits, four RBIs), Maddie Music (two hits, three RBIs), Kelsey Nusspickel (two hits, two RBIs), Madisson Trimble (one hit), Chessa Collins (one hit) and Destiny Trimble (one hit) each aided Paintsville offensively in its win. Both Bledsoe and Nusspickel doubled for the Lady Tigers.
