Maynard honored as UPike Women's Soccer Freshman of the Year

PIKEVILLE – Lawrence County High School graduate Kylie Maynard was honored as the UPike Women's Soccer Freshman of the Year during the 2020 University of Pikeville Bear Awards in April. Maynard, who starred at Lawrence County High School prior to taking the field for the University of Pikeville, netted two goals in 16 games during her freshman season. The UPike women's soccer compiled a 6-11 record in 2019. The Bears compete in the Mid-South Conference. A Louisa native, Maynard netted 32 goals and distributed 23 assists to help lead Lawrence County to the 2018 15th Region Girls' Soccer Championship.
