Blackburn tabbed First Team All-Mid South Conference

COLUMBIA – The 2019-20 Mid-South Conference Archery Season Awards have been announced following the early conclusion of the 2020 season. Among the honorees is University of Pikeville junior Andrew Blackburn, a Prestonsburg High School graduate. Blackburn (barebow) was named First Team All-Mid South Conference. All-Conference honors were given in men and women's compound, bowhunter, barebow and recurve disciplines. The honors are determined by the number of points each individual archer accumulated over the two conference events this season. As for the individual award recipients, Kentucky Christian's Mark Whitt was named Coach of the Year. Union's Morgan Vaughn was named Male Shooter of the Year while Cumberlands' Elliott Cross was selected as the Male Freshman of the Year. Haley Golden from Union was named Female Shooter of the Year. Pikeville's Anna Scarbrough earned Female Freshman of the Year honors.
In all, 17 student-athletes earned First Team All-Conference honors for their performances. A total of 20 student-athletes earned Second Team All-Conference honors.
