Keeton commits to Midway

PAINTSVILLE – Paintsville High School senior Nick Keeton has committed to the Midway University men's basketball program, choosing to remain in-state as he competes at the next level. Keeton helped to pace Paintsville throughout his prep basketball career. As a senior, Keeton averaged a double-double of 15.4 points and 12.3 rebounds per game for the Tigers. Keeton ranked seventh in the state in rebounding during his senior campaign.Former state champion Paintsville finished as the 57th District runner-up and made an appearance in the 15th Region Boys' Basketball Tournament during the 2019-20 season. The Tigers compiled a 15-14 overall record in the latest hoops campaign. Midway, which features players from several in-state boys' high school basketball programs, concluded the 2019-20 men's college basketball season 15-15 overall and 7-9 in the competitive River States Conference. In addition to Midway, the River States Conference includes IU Southeast, IU Kokomo, Alice Lloyd, Asbury, Brescia, Cincinnati Christian, WVU Tech, IU East, Point Park, Ohio Christian, Rio Grande and Carlow.
