The Lawrence County High School cheer team pulled off a 3-peat with their win of the 2025 58th District In-Game Cheer Competition on Monday, Feb. 25.
Jennifer Pannell, LCHS Cheer Coach, reacted to the cheer team’s victory with these words: “I could not be prouder of these girls! Their hard work and dedication have finally been shown and rewarded. They are the 2025 In-Game 58th District Cheer Champions for three consecutive years. Another first in school history! This is not an easy task going against other deserving teams that work as hard! We’ve had our defeats this year, mostly defeating ourselves, so being able to cap the year off with another cheer title means everything to me and the girls. We are all grateful that God has granted us the opportunity to have another day to do something we love. Thank you to the crowd, parents, and administrators for always supporting the girls and showing up. Cheer doesn’t get much credit, but we know we’ve accomplished something for the record books! This is something to be proud of, and making memories with each other is all that matters.”
Members of the winning squad are front row: (Seniors) Molly Compton, Kara Pannell, Maddy Wellman, Annie Frazier, Hannah Scott and Laney Marcum. Back row: Shelby Compton, Ellie Smith, Lyndsey Ward, Kelsey Fyffe, Bailey Blankenship, Anna Salyers, Hayden Boggs, Merissa Jones, Lexi Frazier, Bella Prince, Blair Cantrell and Bulldog Mascot, Jenna Sammons.
