Lawrence County shuts out Tolsia (W.Va.)

LOUISA — Lawrence County shut out border rival Tolsia (W.Va.) 3-0 in a high school volleyball match on Thursday, Aug. 28.

With the win, Lawrence County evened its record to 4-4.

Brylee Stafford (11 kills, 5 service aces), Lainey Blevins (8 digs, 1 service ace), Aryn Huffman (10 kills, 12 assists, 2 digs, 3 service aces), Chloe Jude (2 kills, 2 digs, 4 service aces), Ava Lester (1 kill), Kailyn Stacy (2 kills, 10 assists, 2 digs, 3 service aces), Shelby Compton (4 kills, 4 digs, 6 service aces) and Gabrielle Stinnett (1 kill) were each productive in Lawrence County’ shutout win.

The Lady Bulldogs returned to the win column after suffering a shutout loss to 16h Region member West Carter two days earlier.

Lawrence County is scheduled to visit Tolsia for a late-season match on Saturday, Oct. 11.
