ROBINSON CREEK — Lawrence County shut out Shelby Valley 15-0 in five innings on Thursday, May 2.

Brooklyn Ellis and Taylor Blevins combined to pitch a one-hit shutout for the Lady Bulldogs. Ellis started in the circle for Lawrence County and earned the win. The Lawrence County starter pitched four innings and recorded six strikeouts.

Blevins closed out the game in the circle for Lawrence County, pitching the final inning.

Lawrence County scored 15 runs on 15 hits. Offensively for Lawrence County, Ellis (one hit, one RBI), Abby Maynard (four hits, six RBIs), Hallie Adkins (three hits, one RBI), Jada Patton (two hits, three RBIs), Lexi Crum (one hit, one RBI), Ella Smith (one hit, one RBI), Bree Jones (one hit, one RBI), Abby Nelson (one hit) and Dani Crum (one hit) each excelled.

Taylor Blevins and Braylee Triplett combined to pitch a three-hit shutout for the Lady Bulldogs. Blevins started in the circle, pitched four innings and notched the win. The Lawrence County starting pitcher recorded three strikeouts.

Triplett pitched the final inning for Lawrence County and struck out two Wayne batters.

Lawrence County scored 10 runs on 12 hits.
