Lawrence County shuts out Pike County Central

LOUISA — Lawrence County shut out Pike County Central 8-0 in a girls’ high school soccer match on Monday, Sept. 14.

The Lady Bulldogs controlled the match, pulling away to win convincingly.

Dakota Thornsbury led Lawrence County to the win, scoring four goals for the Lady Bulldogs.

In addition to Thornsbury, Kathy Mynhier (two goals, one assist), Gabriella Perry (one goal, one assist) and Amity Runyan (one goal) contributed offensively for the Lady Bulldogs.

Goalkeeper Bailey Howard paced Lawrence County (4-6-1) defensively, recording a shutout. Howard tallied one save.

Defensively for Pike County Central, goalkeeper Zoe Billiter allowed eight goals and recorded 17 saves.

Lawrence County and Pike County Central aren’t scheduled to meet again in the 2026 girls’ high school soccer season.
