PAINTSVILLE — Paintsville topped Shelby Valley 9-1 in boys’ high school soccer match on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

The Tigers won on senior night. Paintsville seniors Caleb Baker, Braydun Bennett and Logan Bennett were honored.

Baker (one goal), Braydun Bennett (one assist), Wade Bricken (one goal, two assists), Seth Stambaugh (four goals), Matt Bowling (one goal, one assist), Ved Patel (one assist), Carson Montgomery (one goal, three assists) and Ian Hensley (one goal) each contributed offensively for the Tigers.

Goalkeeper Jayden Jude turned in a strong defensive performance for Paintsville, holding Shelby Valley to one goal.

The Tigers defeated the Wildcats for the second time in the 2026 boys’ high school soccer season.

Paintsville improved to 4-6 after posting the win.
