Lawrence County-North Laurel game postponed

LONDON — Lawrence County led North Laurel 13-7 at halftime on Friday, Sept. 18 when the high school football game was postponed due to the weather.

The Lawrence County-North Laurel game is scheduled to resume at the beginning of the third quarter at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Kaden Johnson scored both of Lawrence County’s touchdowns in the first half of the game, reaching the endzone via offense and special teams.

Johnson scored a rushing touchdown and returned a punt for another TD.

The Bulldogs have additional regular season games remaining versus Letcher County Central, Mason County, Powell County, Estill County, Magoffin County and Boyd County.

Reigning champion Lawrence County is scheduled to host Letcher County Central for its Class 3A, District 8 opener at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25.
