Lawrence County shuts out Paintsville 3-0

LOUISA — Lawrence County shut out Paintsville 3-0 in a 57th District girls’ soccer match on Monday, Sept. 16.

Familiar rivals, Lawrence County and Paintsville met for the first time in the 2024 girls’ high school soccer season.

Molly McClanahan, Elle Parsley and Dakota Thornsbury each scored one goal for the Lady Bulldogs.

Contributing to Lawrence County’s offensive attack, Reagan Webb and Amity Runyan each dealt out one assist.

Combining to pace Lawrence County defensively, Makayla Stinnett and Abby Maynard split time at goalkeeper during the district match. Stinnett and Maynard recorded one assist apiece.

Defensively for Paintsville, goalkeeper Eliza Howard delivered 15 saves in a shutout loss.
