Lawrence County shuts out Greenup County in five innings 10-0

LOUISA – Lawrence County shut out visiting Greenup County 10-0 in five innings in a high school softball regular season finale on Wednesday, May 26.
A contender for the 15th Region softball title, Lawrence County notched its 25th win in the 2021 season.
The Bulldogs forced Greenup County to play from behind during the high school softball matchup.
Allie Triplett earned the win in the circle for the Bulldogs. Triplett is among the top high school softball pitchers in the 15th Region.
Multiple players stepped up and delivered as part of Lawrence County's offensive attack.
Shelby Blevins recorded two hits and four RBIs to help lead the Bulldogs to the victory.
After carrying momentum over from the hoops season earlier in the schoolyear, Kensley Feltner connected for two doubles and drove in two runs for Lawrence County.
Bree Jones (double), Ella Fitzpatrick (single, RBI), Abby Nelson (single), Kaitlyn Meddings (two RBIs) and Danielle Crum (one RBI) contributed at the plate for the Bulldogs.
Former 16th Region rivals, Lawrence County and Greenup County met for the first time in the 2021 high school softball season.
