Lawrence County rolls past Beaver Local (Ohio)

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — Lawrence County pulled away to defeat Beaver Local (Ohio) 12-2 in 6 innings at The Ripken Experience on Tuesday, March 31.

The Lady Bulldogs scored first and never trailed. Lawrence County led 10-0 before Beaver Local plated its first run during the bottom half of the fifth inning.  

Taylor Blevins pitched for Lawrence County and earned the win in the circle. Blevins held Beaver Local to two runs on four hits and recorded eight strikeouts.

Lawrence County scored 12 runs on 10 hits. Blevins (one hit, one RBI), Ella Smith (two hits, two RBIs), Gracie Woods (two hits, one RBI), Jada Patton (two hits), Lexi Crum (one hit, three RBIs), Emalynn Kitts (one hit, two RBIs) and Addalyn Woods (one hit, one RBI) each delivered from the plate for the Lady Bulldogs. Crum, who drove in three runs, homered. Supplying another extra-base hit, Kitts doubled.

Excelling both offensively and defensively, Lawrence County turned in an error-free performance.
