Lawrence County ranked fifth in Class 3A Rankings

LOUISA — Lawrence County is ranked fifth in the first BluegrassPreps.com Class 3A Rankings of the 2026 high school football season.
The Bulldogs are perennial title contenders. Lawrence County is the reigning Class 3A, District 8 Champion.
Tradition-rich Lawrence County rolled past visiting Martin County in its season opener. The Bulldogs defeated the Cardinals 37-7 on Friday, Aug. 21.
Remaining in the win column one week later, Lawrence County leveled Lincoln County 42-6 in the Golden Lion Bowl at Garrard on Friday, Aug. 28.
Lawrence County is scheduled to visit Ashland for its next game at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4.
The Bulldogs have additional games scheduled versus North Laurel, Letcher County Central, Mason County, Powell County, Estill County, Magoffin County and Boyd County.
