LOUISA — Lawrence County outlasted Paintsville 45-44 in its regular season finale on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
The Lady Bulldogs won on Senior Night.
Nearing the .500 mark, Lawrence County improved to 11-12 after notching the win.
Lawrence County shot 66.7 percent (13-of-21) from the free throw line.
Productive inside, Lawrence County outrebounded Paintsville 40-31.
Sophie Adkins and Jada Patton scored 19 points apiece for the Lady Bulldogs. Adkins recorded a double-double, hauling in a game-high 16 rebounds.
Finishing outside double figures, Emalynn Kitts (five points) and Addison Bloomfield (two points) accounted for the rest of Lawrence County’s scoring.
Paintsville shot 75 percent (12-of-16) from the free throw line in a short effort.
Kylie Kinner paced Paintsville with a double-double of her own. Kinner scored a game-high 23 points and corralled 14 rebounds.
Finishing in single digits, Annabelle Blankenship (six points), Emma Keeton (four points), McKinley Ramey (three points), Addison Helton (three points), Eliza Howard (three points) and Brooklyn Skaggs (two points) were the other scorers for the Lady Tigers.
