LOUISA — Lawrence County is listed 17th in the CalPreps.com Preseason Class 3A Rankings.
The Bulldogs are ranked behind border rival East Carter (16), Fleming County (15), Pike County Central (14), Rockcastle County (13), Glasgow (12), Mercer County (11), Paducah Tilghman (10), Elizabethtown (9), Bardstown (8), Taylor County (7), Russell (6), Christian Academy-Louisville (5), DeSales (4), Ashland Blazer (3), Bell County (2) and reigning champion Belfry (1). Lawrence County is ranked ahead of Greenup County (18), Western Hills (19), Mason County (20), LaRue County (21), Casey County (22), Union County (23), Floyd Central (24), Trigg County (25), Garrard County (26), Estill County (27), Adair County (28), Thomas Nelson (29), Hart County (30), Magoffin County (31), Webster County (32), Powell County (33), Henry County (34), Pendleton County (35), Lewis County (36), Jackson County (37), McCreary Central (38) and Nelson County (39). The Bulldogs ended the 2019 high school football season 4-7. Lawrence County lost to Pike County Central in the opening round of the 2019 Class 3A State Playoffs. The Bulldogs entered the week scheduled to kick off the 2020 high school football season in August.
