Lawrence County football games canceled

LOUISA — The Lawrence County-Raceland football game scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30 was canceled due to COVID-19.

A Lawrence County-LaRue County football game slated for Friday, Nov. 6 has also been canceled due to the virus.

Lawrence County is 3-1 overall and in Class 3A, District 8. The Bulldogs have notched wins over Magoffin County, Pike County Central and Floyd Central. Lawrence County dropped a district game to reigning Class 3A champion Belfry earlier in the season.

COVID-19 has forced teams from across the state to cancel games throughout the 2020 high school football season..
