Lawrence County finishes 3-0 at Cal Ripken Experience

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Continuing to win over spring break, Lawrence County finished 3-0 at the Cal Ripken Experience.

Undefeated, Lawrence County exited spring break 12-0.

Lawrence County 5, Victor (NY) 3: Determined Lawrence County held on to defeat Victor (NY) 5-3 at the Cal Ripken Experience on Thursday, April 4.

Lawrence County pitcher Taylor Blevins earned the win in the circle. Blevins pitched a complete game, limiting Victor to three runs on three hits while recording six strikeouts.

Lawrence County scored five runs on seven hits. Dani Crum (two hits), Abby Nelson (two hits), Addalyn Woods (one hit, one RBI), Bree Jones (one hit), Gracie Preece (one hit), Brooklyn Ellis (one RBI), Jada Patton (one RBI), Abby Maynard (one RBI) and Hallie Adkins (one RBI) each contributed offensively for the Lady Bulldogs.

Lawrence County 15, Chesterfield (SC) 4: Lawrence County pulled away to defeat Chesterfield (SC) 15-4 at the Cal Ripken Experience on Tuesday, April 2.

Brooklyn Ellis started in the circle for Lawrence County and claimed the win. Ellis pitched five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits while recording nine strikeouts.

Replacing Ellis, Taylor Blevins pitched two innings in relief for the Lady Bulldogs. Blevins logged two strikeouts.

Excelling offensively, Lawrence County scored 15 runs on 17 hits. Ellis (one hit), Blevins (one hit, one RBI), Jada Patton (four hits, two RBIs), Abby Nelson (three hits, two RBIs), Dani Crum (two hits, five RBIs), Hallie Adkins (two hits, one RBI), Bree Jones (two hits), Gracie Preece (one hit, one RBI) and Addalyn Woods (one hit) were each productive at the plate in Lawrence County’s victory. Both Patton and Crum homered.

Lawrence County 8, Hilliard Davidson (Ohio) 2: Lawrence County defeated Hilliard Davidson (Ohio) 8-2 at the Cal Ripken Experience on Monday, April 1.

Taylor County pitched a complete game for Lawrence County and claimed the win in the circle. Blevins limited Hilliard Davidson to two runs on three hits. The Lawrence County pitcher recorded nine strikeouts.

Lawrence County scored eight runs on 15 hits. Jada Patton (three hits, two RBIs), Bree Jones (three hits), Gracie Preece (two hits), Hallie Adkins (two hits), Brooklyn Ellis (one hit, four RBIs), Addalyn Woods (one hit, two RBIs), Abby Nelson (one hit), Abby Maynard (one hit) and Dani Crum (one hit) each excelled offensively for defending 58th District champion Lawrence County. Both Ellis and Woods homered in Lawrence County’s victory over Hilliard Davidson.
