LOUISA — Lawrence County blanked Floyd Central 10-0 in five innings in a 58th District baseball game at Randy Keeton Field on Friday, March 29.

Braxton Davis pitched a two-hit shutout for the Bulldogs. Earning the win on the mound, Davis recorded eight strikeouts over five innings.

Floyd Central starting pitcher Kolten Crum was stuck with the loss. Crum pitched four innings and struck out two Lawrence County batters.

Replacing Crum on the mound, Mason Anderson pitched in relief for the Jaguars.

Lawrence County scored 10 runs on nine hits. Eli Fletcher led Lawrence County at the plate, finishing three-for-four with two doubles and five RBIs.

Contributing at the plate, Abner Collinsworth (two hits), Gray Derifield (one hit, one RBI), Logan Whisenant (one hit, one RBI), Colin Howard (one hit, one RBI) and Talan Pollock (one hit) followed Fletcher in Lawrence County’s offensive attack.

Kolten Crum and Gage Burgett recorded one hit apiece for the Jaguars, who were limited offensively throughout the matchup.

Pitching in relief for Lawrence County, Boedy Maynard earned the win on the mound.

Working out of a relief pitching role for the Bulldogs, Gray Derifield picked up the save.

Ford Scaggs started on the mound for Lawrence County in the district game.

Floyd Central starting pitcher Logan Moore suffered the loss.

Following Moore, Grant Jenkins pitched in relief for the Jaguars.

Lawrence County scored 12 runs on 10 hits. Delivering offensively and defensively, Gray Derifield provided three hits for the Bulldogs.

As part of a diverse offensive attack for Lawrence County, Abner Collinsworth (two hits, two RBIs), Eli Fletcher (one hit, three RBIs), Colin Howard (one hit, two RBIs), Talan Pollock (one hit, two RBIs), Logan Whisenant (one hit, one RBI) and Jake Derifield (one hit) made an impact at the plate.

Jenkins (one RBI), Gage Burgett (three hits, two RBIs), Jace Martin (one hit, two RBIs), Koen Reeves (one hit) and Logan Meade (one hit) were each productive offensively for the Jaguars.
