MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Lawrence County held on to edge Butler (Ohio) 3-2 at The Ripken Experience on Monday, March 31.

Reigning 15th Region champion Lawrence County faced an out-of-state opponent for the first time in the 2025 high school softball season.

Taylor Blevins pitched a complete game for Lawrence County and earned the win in the circle. Blevins, who is among the top high school softball pitchers in the 15th Region, limited Butler to two runs on one hit and recorded seven strikeouts.

Lawrence County pushed across three runs on four hits in its victory over Butler. Bree Jomes and Addalyn Woods each delivered two hits and one RBI for the Lady Bulldogs. Jones homered while Woods tripled
