BUCKLEY CREEK — Lawrence County lost to host Pike County Central in the semifinals of the 2A, Section 8 Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday, Aug. 29.

Pike County Central held on to edge Lawrence County 2-1, winning 20-25, 25-22, 25-19.

Livia Sanders (15 digs, 2 service aces), Larra Jones (8 kills, 3 digs, 1 service ace), Ally Newsome (1 kill, 8 digs, 1 service ace), Jaycie Stanley (12 kills, 5 blocks, 16 digs), Layla Johnson (1 dig, 2 service aces), Kaylee O’Neill (1 kill, 12 digs, 4 service aces), Claire Stacey (12 digs, 1 service ace), Maggie Cochran (5 kills, 15 assists, 6 digs, 1 service ace) and Rylee Cote (1 kill, 2 blocks, 1 dig) were each productive for Pike County Central in its win.
