LOUISA — Lawrence County defeated Magoffin County 12-1 in five innings on Thursday, May 14.
Taylor Blevins pitched for Lawrence County and earned the win in the circle. Blevins recorded 10 strikeouts. A longtime standout for Lawrence County, Blevins recorded her 100th career win.
Ava Hensley pitched for Magoffin County and suffered the loss in the circle. Hensley struck out two Lawrence County batters.
Lawrence County scored 12 runs on 13 hits. Players throughout Lawrence County’s lineup contributed. Blevins (two hits, one RBI), Brinley Baisden (three hits, two RBIs), Jada Patton (two hits, one RBI), Lexi Crum (one hit, two RBIs), Addalyn Woods (one hit, one RBI), Millie Sammons (one hit, one RBI), Ella Smith (one hit), Emalynn Kitts (one hit) and Aleaha Gillispie (one hit) were each active offensively for the Lady Bulldogs. Both Woods and Smith doubled.
Magoffin County plated one run on two hits. Kelsey Slone (one hit, one RBI) and Macy Williams (one hit) each delivered in separate at bats for the Lady Hornets.
