LOUISA - Following a loss to Shelby Valley earlier in the week, Betsy Layne bounced back to beat Prestonsburg and Pike County Central Thursday, Dec. 16-Friday, Dec. 17.

Betsy Layne 63, Prestonsburg 50
Visiting Lawrence County pulled away to beat Prestonsburg 63-50 in a 58th District girls' basketball game on Thursday, Dec. 16.
The Lady Bulldogs hit seven of 22 three-point field goal attempts in the win, shooting 31.8 percent beyond the arc.
Lawrence County shot 63.6 percent (14-of-22) from the free throw line.
Kensley Feltner led Lawrence County with a game-high double-double, scoring 32 points and pulling down 21 rebounds.
Accompanying Feltner in double figures in scoring for Lawrence County, Sophie Adkins added 17 points and Kaison Ward contributed 10 points. Logging a double-double for Lawrence County, Ward hauled in 10 rebounds.
Lawrence County 63, Pike County Central 45
Winning on its home floor, Lawrence County pulled away to defeat former district rival Pike County Central 63-45 in a non-district girls' high school basketball game on Friday, Dec. 17.
Lawrence County shot 46.3 percent (25-of-54) from the field in the convincing win.
Kensley Feltner led a trio of Lawrence County scorers in double figures, netting 18 points.
Accompanying Feltner in double figures for Lawrence County, Kaison Ward posted 14 points and Tyra Hammond provided 11 points.
