Lady Tigers take two district games from Martin County

PAINTSVILLE — Paintsville swept a 57th District softball regular season series from Martin County Tuesday, April 12-Wednesday, April 13.

Paintsville 16, Martin County 7

Paintsville beat host Martin County 16-7 in a 57th District softball game on Tuesday, April 12.

Laney Bledsoe earned the win in the circle for the Lady Tigers.

Zoie Hinkle suffered the loss in the circle for the Lady Cardinals.

Several players contributed offensively for Paintsville in the win.

A key contributor for Paintsville at the plate, Mattie Ratliff belted a home run and tripled.

Following Ratliff, Ashley Wells doubled and singled for the Lady Tigers.

Ratliff and Wells each collected three RBIs.

Helping her pitching cause at the plate, Bledsoe added three hits, including a double.

Molly Music doubled and singled for the Lady Tigers. Bledsoe and Music each drove in two runs.

Hinkle, Brittany Thompson and Hannah Stacy recorded two hits apiece for the Lady Cardinals. Moving runners around the bases, Stacy collected three RBIs while Keilan Jewell, who finished with one hit, drove in two runs.

Paintsville 12, Martin County 11

Pitcher Laney Bledsoe doubled home the game-winning run to push Paintsville past visiting Martin County 12-11 in a 57th District softball game on Wednesday, April 13.

Bledsoe, who claimed the win in the circle, delivered three RBIs for the Lady Tigers.

Zoie Hinkle took the loss in the circle for Martin County.

Ashley Wells doubled, singled and collected four RBIs for Paintsville in the win..

Chessa Collins produced four, including a double, while driving in one run for the Lady Tigers.

Aiding Paintsville at the plate, Mattie Ratliff singled twice.

Hinkle belted a two-run home run for the Lady Cardinals.

Leading Martin County at the plate, Brittany Thompson finished a home run short of hitting for the circle and drove in five runs.

Kaylee Endicott added three hits, including a triple, while adding one RBI for the Lady Cardinals.

Contributing at the plate for Martin County, Skyla Messer doubled in two runs.
