Lady Eagles roll to win over Wolfe County

PAINTSVILLE — Johnson Central pulled away to defeat Wolfe County 15-3 in five innings on Wednesday, April 30.
Keylee Blair started in the circle for Johnson Central and earned the win. Blair pitched the first four innings.
Arabella Bowen replaced Blair in the circle for Johnson Central and pitched the final inning.
Blair and Bowen each recorded one strikeout for the Lady Eagles.
Chloy Creech pitched a complete game for Wolfe County and suffered the loss in the circle. Creech recorded two strikeouts.
Johnson Central scored 15 runs on 14 hits. Blair (one hit, one RBI), Julie Dials (three hits, five RBIs), Mayson Delong (three hits, one RBI), Leah Hall (two hits, two RBIs), Adyson Burchett (two hits, one RBI), Jadyn Estep (one hit, two RBIs), Josie Dials (one hit, one RBI), Elizabeth Blair (one hit) and Journey Holbrook (one RBI) each contributed to Johnson Central’s offensive effort. Showing power at the plate, Julia Dials homered.
Offensively for Wolfe County, Taylor Sword drove in two runs. Helping her pitching cause at the plate, Creech connected for two hits.
