Casting for Kids Championship Fishing Tournament a huge success in Lawrence and Johnson Counties

The official day one of the Casting for Kids Fishing Tournament was held at Yatesville Lake in Lawrence County, on Friday, April 25.

It was a record with 99 boats weighin in with 252 total fish weighed. A total of 683.07 pounds of fish were caught.

The top 30 winning teams from the tournament fished on the Paintsville Lake on Saturday, April 26.

First place winners at the Paintsville Lake were: Blake Meade and Kory Jarrell, winning $16,000 with a 2-day total of 33.74 lb. of fish.

Second place finishers were Michael Morris and Nick McGuire with a 2-day total of 31.59 lbs. Their winnings was $4,000.

Third place winners were Michael Jervis and Susie Jervis with a 2-day weight of 29.90 lbs. They took home $2,000.
