Lady Bulldogs shut out Shelby Valley

ROBINSON CREEK — Lawrence County shut out Shelby Valley 18-0 in three innings on Friday, May 8.

The Bulldogs led 6-0 midway through the second inning. Putting the game completely out of Shelby Valley’s reach, Lawrence County erupted for a dozen runs during the top half of the third frame.

Taylor Blevins pitched a two-hit shutout for Lawrence County and earned the win in the circle. Blevins recorded four strikeouts.

Khloe Milam pitched for Shelby Valley and suffered the loss in the circle.

Lawrence County scored 18 runs on 12 hits. Blevins (one hit, one RBI), Jada Patton (three hits, five RBIs), Aleaha Gillispie (two hits, three RBIs), Emalynn Kitts (two hits, two RBIs), Brinley Baisden (two hits, two RBIs), Addalyn Woods (one hit, two RBIs) and Millie Sammons (one hit, one RBI) each excelled offensively for Lawrence County in its victory. Patton homered and doubled for the Lady Bulldogs. Along with Patton, Blevins, Gillispie and Kitts also doubled.
