LOUISA — Lawrence County shut out Lewis County 12-0 in five innings in a home finale on Saturday, May 10.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 18-7 after registering the shutout win.
Lawrence County, which notched its third straight win, excelled defensively and offensively.
Taylor Blevins pitched a two-hit shutout for Lawrence County and earned the win in the circle. Blevins recorded three strikeouts.
Several players contributed to Lawrence County’s offensive attack. Lawrence County scored 12 runs on 10 hits. Emalynn Kitts (three hits, two RBIs), Jada Patton (two hits, two RBIs), Brinley Baisden (one hit, three RBIs), Gracie Preece (one hit, two RBIs), Aleaha Gillispie (one hit, one RBI), Abby Maynard (one hit), Bree Jones (one hit) and Ella Smith (one RBI) each contributed at the plate in Lawrence County’s shutout win. Jones tripled while Kitts, Patton, Baisden and Maynard each doubled.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Lewis County for the second time in the 2025 high school softball season.
