Lady Bulldogs defeat West Carter

LOUISA — Lawrence County rolled past West Carter 73-42 on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 11-14 after registering the win.

Lawrence County shot 48.3 percent (28-of-58) from the field. The Lady Bulldogs shot 38.5 percent (five-of-13) from three-point range.

Lawrence County shot 75.0 percent (12-of-16) from the free throw line.

Jada Patton led Lawrence County to the win. Patton poured in a game-high 30 points for the Lady Bulldogs.

Following Patton in Lawrence County’s scoring column, Brooke Marcum netted 15 points.

Behind the two scorers in double figures, Emalynn Kitts (seven points), Maddison Artrip (six points), Gracie Woods (six points), Caroline See (five points), Addison Bowen (two points) and Annabelle Hayes (two points) provided the rest of the scoring for the Lady Bulldogs.

Former 16th Region rivals Lawrence County and West Carter met for the first time since November 2022.
