Kids' Fishing Tournament

Sixty-five children participated in the Red White and Bluegill Kids’ Fishing Tournament Saturday, July 23, at Yatesville Lake. The children, ages 2 to 16, caught over 500 fish between them, according to Ken Akers of Rebel Rivers Outfitters in Louisa, which sponsored the event. Winners included Hudson Eldridge, first place, and Oaklyn Diamond and McKinnley Fitch (tie), second place, 4 and under; Waylon Mollett, first place, and Addison Blevins, second place, 5 to 8 year olds; Kenneth Tackett, first place, and Branson Mollett, second place, 9 to 12 year old; Shelbie Preece, first place; and Zack Ratliff, second place, 13 to 16 year olds; and Tristan Jobe, biggest fish, 14.5 inches.
