Keathley leads Cardinals past Green Dragons

INEZ — Hot-shooting Martin County defeated Harlan 92-72 on Saturday, Dec. 13.
The Cardinals improved to 4-1 after notching the win.
Martin County shot 56.5 percent (35-of-62) from the field. The Cardinals shot 48.1 percent (13-of-27) from three-point range.
Martin County shot 81.8 percent (nine-of-11) from the free throw line.
The Cardinals were productive outside and inside. Martin County claimed 48 rebounds.
Junior guard Braxton Keathley led Martin County to the win. Keathley recorded a double-double, scoring 33 points and pulling down 12 rebounds for the Cardinals.
Following Keathley in Martin County’s scoring column, Eli Mills netted 17 points.
Behind Mills, Brayden Marcum scored 15 points for the Cardinals.
Accompanying three of his teammates in double figures for Martin County, Bryson Dials netted 13 points.
Six players were responsible for all of Martin County’s scoring. Rounding out Martin County’s scoring, Chase Hinkle added eight points while Alan Moore contributed six points.
Delivering double-doubles of their own, Marcum and Dials each claimed 10 rebounds.
