Johnson Central shuts out Lawrence County 3-0

PIKEVILLE — Lawrence County suffered a season-ending loss as Johnson Central pulled away to win 3-0 in the semifinals of the 15th Region Volleyball Tournament at Pikeville High School on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

The loss eliminated Lawrence County from the 15th Region Volleyball Tournament. Following the loss, Lawrence County ended its 2023 season 20-10.

After registering the win, Johnson Central improved to 28-4. With the win, Johnson Central advanced to the 15th Region Volleyball Tournament title match.

Johnson Central, which entered the season ranked first in the 15th Region, defeated Lawrence County 25-19, 25-13, 25-13.

In the other match of the 15th Region Volleyball Tournament semifinals, Floyd Central shut out Paintsville 3-0, winning 25-22, 26-24, 25-15.
